Bathtub refinishing colors: ten stocked, or any color you can name
Most tubs leave in one of ten stocked colors, included in every quote. Vanities and countertops often go stone-look. And if your tile only matches one particular off-white, we can order that too.
Ten stocked bathtub colors, included in every job
Tap any color to see it full screen. Colors on a screen are only a guide. Each stocked color is matched to a Sherwin-Williams color of the same name, so you can hold a real paint chip from any Sherwin-Williams store against your tile before you decide, or just tell us the name when you text your photos.
Multispec stone finishes, fleck and marble, for countertops, vanities and tubs
Multispec stone
A speckled, stone-look finish from the Midwest Chemicals multispec line. Birch Bark and White Sands are stocked; the rest of the line can be ordered. It hides wear and water spots better than a solid color, which is why most vanities and kitchen counters choose it.
Custom design fleck
Pick any stocked color as the base and one to three colors to fleck across it. A quieter pattern than multispec, popular on vanities and countertops.
Marble look
A marble pattern worked by hand over a base color, then clear-coated. Ask to see examples when you request a quote.
Any Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore or Midwest Chemicals color, mixed for your job
If none of the ten stocked colors is right, name the color you want from Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore or the Midwest Chemicals line and we match it. There is a $150 special order charge, because the color is mixed for your job alone, and it adds a few days to scheduling.
Hotels and apartment communities use the same route to match a brand or design standard across every unit. Send the color code with your property quote and the whole project is mixed to it. Commercial refinishing.

How to pick a bathtub refinishing color you’ll still like in ten years
Match the tile you’re keeping
If the tile stays, the tub should agree with it. Older bathrooms were built around off-whites, and that is exactly why Kohler White, Biscuit and Almond are stocked. Hold a paint chip against the tile in daylight before you decide.
Going lighter
A white or near-white tub makes a small bathroom feel bigger and shows soap film less than you’d expect. Bright White and Greek Villa are the two most common choices when the tile is being refinished too.
Countertops and vanities
Solid colors show every water spot on a flat surface. A multispec or fleck finish hides them, which is why most countertops go stone-look and most tubs stay solid.
Changing everything at once
When the tub, the tile walls and the floor are all being refinished, you are choosing a whole room. Send photos of all three and tell us the look you want; we’ll suggest a combination that works.
